Description
A post-war West German Army (Bundeswehr) box-type belt buckle, dating from the Cold War period. The buckle is constructed from stamped metal with a silver-coloured finish and a granulated pebbled background. The face features a central circular medallion depicting the Bundesadler (Federal Eagle) surrounded by the embossed national motto EINIGKEIT RECHT FREIHEIT, which translates to Unity, Justice, and Freedom. The reverse is fitted with a standard bar and twin-prong attachment system for use with a leather service belt. No manufacturer marks or NATO Stock Numbers are visible on this example.
