An Austrian Carved Wood Tyrolean Style Souvenir Smoking Pipe

A Tyrolean-style souvenir smoking pipe of Austrian origin. The item features a carved wooden bowl with a faceted exterior and an incised edelweiss floral motif. The bowl is fitted with a hinged, ventilated metal wind-cap. The construction includes a wooden shank with a natural bark finish, a horn-style ferrule, and a curved black composite mouthpiece. Attached to the shank by a red cord is a circular yellow and red paper retail tag printed with the text Geprufte Osterreichische Qualitat / Austrian Quality, Austria, and the number 40.047.
