A late 19th century French style Rococo Revival Reproduction cast brass easel picture frame

A late 19th century cast brass picture frame of oval form, designed in the ornate French Rococo Revival style. The frame is heavily embellished with characteristic asymmetrical C-scrolls, scrolling foliage, and floral motifs including a prominent rose to the upper right. The top is surmounted by a large, stylised shell-form rocaille crest. The frame is supported by two integral scrolled feet at the base and a decorative, openwork hinged easel stand to the reverse. The item retains its glass. No maker marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on the body; a small label on the easel leg appears to be a previous auction lot number.
