A 9 Carat Gold Back and Front Oval Locket Pendant

An oval locket pendant featuring 9 carat yellow gold front and back plates over a base metal interior frame. The front of the locket is decorated with engraved foliate scrollwork to the upper section, with a polished plain lower half. The reverse is stamped with the marks 9CT and BK&FT within rectangular cartouches. The locket is suspended from a circular jump ring and opens on a side hinge to reveal two internal compartments containing portrait photographs behind protective covers.
