A Pair of Mid-Century Modern Silver-Plated Tripod Candle Holders by Angora

A pair of mid-century modern silver-plated tripod candle holders manufactured by the Angora Silver Plate Co. Ltd, Birmingham. These items reflect an Atomic era style and are designed in the Danish style associated with the Atla range by Cohr. Each holder is of square form with rounded, convex sides and rests upon three integrated cylindrical feet. The upper surface is decorated with etched looping scroll motifs at each corner, surrounding a central cylindrical candle nozzle.

The underside of each base is stamped with an oval cartouche containing the following text: ANGORA, Silverplate on copper, and MADE IN ENGLAND. The pair is accompanied by the original black presentation box, which features a partially damaged foil label with a stylised A logo.
