Yamaha PortaSound PSS-380 Digital FM Synthesizer Keyboard, circa 1989

A vintage Yamaha PortaSound PSS-380 portable digital synthesizer featuring a 49-key keyboard. This single unit is constructed from Yamaha ports sound materials and finished in a dark grey colourway. The control panel is equipped with a dedicated Digital Synthesizer section featuring six green-tipped sliders for adjusting wave, spectrum, modulation, attack, decay, and volume, allowing for real-time FM synthesis manipulation. Additional controls include sliders for master, accompaniment, and rhythm volume, as well as various buttons for orchestra voices, rhythm styles, and sequencer functions. The piece is clearly labelled with the model name on the left and the Yamaha brand name embossed on the lower front edge.
