Lot 149:
Description
A mid-20th century wooden vase, lathe-turned and hand-carved. The vessel features a flared rim with notched detailing above a bulbous body. The central section is decorated with horizontal bands of chip-carved geometric patterns and fan-shaped motifs. The wood is finished with a dark stain, which provides a sharp contrast to the lighter, natural wood tones revealed within the recessed carvings. The piece is supported by a stepped, circular pedestal foot. No maker’s marks or signatures are present. Height: approximately 250mm.
