Sharp RD-610E Portable Cassette Recorder with Microphone

A vintage Sharp RD-610E portable cassette recorder. The unit features a black moulded plastic cabinet with a silver-toned metal speaker grille. The control interface consists of five piano-key style mechanical buttons for record, rewind, fast forward, play, and stop/eject. It includes a built-in top-mounted speaker and an auto-stop function. The front is marked with a raised Sharp nameplate and a red square logo. A sticker below the cassette compartment reads Made in Malaysia. The reverse features a specification label identifying the unit as Model No. RD-610E, rated for 240V 50/60Hz 5W or 6V DC using four HP-11 batteries. A circular British Electrotechnical Approvals Board sticker is present, indicating it was produced to BS 415 standards for the UK market.
