Description
This lot consists of two small decorative lidded vessels. The first is a circular white metal trinket box with a porcelain plaque inset into the lid. The porcelain is decorated in underglaze blue with a radiating geometric floral design. The metal body features a band of chased scrolling foliage. The second item is a globular porcelain jar and cover with metal mounts to the rims. It is decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling floral motifs and stylized fruit against a crackle-glaze ground. The base of the jar features a four-character mark in underglaze blue reading Rong Bao Yong Qing (榮寶永慶), a commendation mark translated as Everlasting celebration of glorious treasures, common on export porcelain from the late 19th to mid-20th century.
