A Pifco Model No. 971 Mid-Century Modern Gooseneck Lamp.

A vintage Pifco Model No. 971 gooseneck lamp, manufactured in England. The design features a conical metal bullet-style shade in a dark brown or black painted finish, incorporating vertical ventilation slots and a small ball finial at the apex. This shade is mounted on a flexible brass-toned metal neck, allowing for multi-directional adjustment. The weighted base is constructed of black plastic and features a decorative silver-toned metal mesh insert on the top surface, along with a black push-button power switch. The underside of the base contains a printed label with the Pifco logo, model number 971, and electrical specifications. The base is equipped with two keyhole slots, enabling the lamp to be used as either a desk lamp or a wall-mounted fixture. The lamp is fitted with a cut two-core beige cable.
