Lot 197:
Description
A collection of North American prototype HO scale model railway equipment comprising one diesel-electric locomotive and three freight cars.
The locomotive is an EMD SD45 type, identified by the road number 8803 and the EF636 classification mark. It is finished in the Southern Pacific “Bloody Nose” livery of grey and red with white lettering. The model features a plastic body shell, metal handrails, and six-wheel C-C bogies with roof-mounted fans. This specific road number and configuration are associated with models produced by Athearn.
The rolling stock consists of three 2-bay hopper cars for “The Milwaukee Road” (MILW), carrying road numbers 76371, 76377, and 76390. These cars were manufactured by International Hobby Corp. (IHC) and are of plastic construction. The sides feature detailed technical lettering, including “NEW 8-59”, “NO 28 BRAKE BEAM”, and “HPKD GY”.
The hopper cars are housed in their original IHC window boxes, labelled “The World’s Finest Running HO Freight Cars”.
Locomotive length: approximately 210mm.
