Description
A large circular silver-plated tray manufactured by Gladwin Ltd of Sheffield under the Embassy brand. The salver features a decorative engine-turned guilloche pattern of concentric circles across the well, bounded by a plain, raised, and rounded rim. The centre of the tray is engraved with a regimental crest comprising a crown over a monogram with a motto banner underneath. The reverse is stamped with the maker marks GLADWIN LTD SHEFFIELD and the Embassy trademark in a scrolled frame, alongside the numbers 23149 and the letter F. It further bears stamped ownership inscriptions reading 137TH FIELD REGIMENT RA(TA) and R.A. MESS.
