Mid-Century Engraved Brass Tray-Top Side Table on Folding Hardwood Base

A mid-20th century tray-top side table featuring a large, circular hand-chased brass tray. The central field is decorated with an embossed peacock with its tail feathers fanned out, surrounded by concentric bands of engraved foliate and geometric patterns. The tray features a raised, scalloped inner rim. The supporting base consists of a folding, interlocking three-legged stand carved from dark-stained hardwood. The legs are carved in a stylized, elongated manner, characteristic of traditional interlocking friendship stands where the components are joined without fasteners. No maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the base or the tray. An auction lot sticker numbered 5847 is present on the surface of the tray.
