A Six-Piece Set of Denby Reflex Pattern Stoneware

A six-piece collection of Denby stoneware in the Reflex pattern, manufactured in Derbyshire, England. The items are finished in a mottled blue glaze with a decorative border of dark blue squares applied to the lower sections of the sugar bowl and jug, and around the rim of the saucers. The rims of the cups and saucers feature a light-coloured, contrasting edge. The set includes two large breakfast cups with matching saucers, one lidded sugar bowl, and one cream jug. The bases are marked with a black printed stamp within a rectangle stating DENBY, HANDCRAFTED, OVEN MICROWAVE FREEZER, DISHWASHER SAFE, ENGLAND, with the pattern name REFLEX printed below. Several pieces retain original adhesive manufacturer labels, including rectangular labels for the Denby Pottery Company Ltd and circular labels marked Denby 1809.
