Royal Doulton Mine Host Large Character Jug D6468

A Royal Doulton character jug titled Mine Host, model number D.6468. This glazed earthenware piece depicts a smiling English innkeeper wearing a black tricorn hat, a deep red coat, and a white cravat with yellow polka dots. The handle is modelled as a green leafy branch sprouting from a small wooden ale barrel incised with XXX. The title Mine Host is embossed in relief around the lower back.
