Holy Land Gifts, A Carved Olive Wood Bust of Jesus Christ

A contemporary carved olive wood bust of Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns, distributed by the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF). The sculpture is worked from a single block of timber and stands on an integral base. The design features deep, rhythmic vertical carving to the hair and beard, which contrasts with the smooth, polished facial features that showcase the natural swirling grain of the olive wood. The underside of the base bears a yellow adhesive label with the transcription: HCEF, Holy Land Gifts, 301-871-9222, and www.hcef.org.
