A Trio of Decorative Small Boxes including a Cork Diorama and Carved Wood Examples

A collection of three decorative boxes of varying forms and materials. The first is a rectangular box featuring a marbled brown and red lacquer-style finish. The lid is inset with a glazed oval panel containing a three-dimensional cork diorama depicting an East Asian landscape with cranes, a pagoda, and pine trees. The box is fitted with a brass-tone metal clasp and the interior is lined with a red jacquard fabric. The second is a square wooden box with a hinged lid, featuring an applied deep-relief carved floral rosette lid resembling a decorative furniture appliqué. The third is a heart-shaped box with a black lacquer-style finish and a lift-off lid decorated with a printed floral motif of tulips and yellow flowers. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on any of the items. A British one-pound coin is present in the images for scale.
