Anvil German Eight-Day Napoleon Hat Mantle Clock

A German mechanical mantle clock in the Napoleon hat or tambour style, manufactured by Anvil. The wooden case features a dark mahogany-toned finish and a moulded plinth base. The circular brass-tone dial is set with applied black Arabic numerals and a matted centre, featuring black spade-style hands. The dial includes a Chime/Silent selector lever at the 12 o’clock position and Fast/Slow adjustment slots for regulation. The eight-day mechanical movement is accessed via the rear and is stamped with the Anvil company mark, featuring an anvil symbol and the text MADE IN GERMANY. The movement is fitted with a five-rod gong chime mechanism and a pendulum. Three winding holes are present on the dial face, and a winding key is included.
