Description
This collection consists of a set of five porcelain anthropomorphic pig money boxes, commissioned by NatWest and manufactured by Wade, England. The set features a graduated family of figures including an infant seated in a nappy with a blue safety pin, a girl in a green pleated dress and striped tie, a boy in blue dungarees and striped tie, a father in a black evening suit with a red bow tie, and a mother in a blue blouse and black skirt. Each figure is finished in a polychrome glaze. The base of the figures features the embossed marks WADE and ENGLAND. All figures are fitted with their original black plastic stoppers bearing the NatWest chevron logo and name. A UK one pound coin is present in the images for scale purposes.
