G85 Weekly General Auction Monday
Lot 248:
Description
A set of green glass dressing table items in the Art Deco style, dating to circa 1930. The collection includes an oval tray, a pair of candlesticks, a small bowl, and a lidded jar. Each piece is manufactured from pressed glass, a material frequently identified as uranium glass in the secondary market due to its distinctive colour. The tray is decorated with a central moulded starburst pattern and a faceted, scalloped rim. The matching candlesticks feature a geometric, tiered stem on a hexagonal base. The lidded jar and bowl are finished with stylised relief foliate designs. No maker marks are visible, though the set is attributed to the style of Sowerby.
