Bastet style cat figurine

A cast resin figurine of the goddess Bastet, modelled in the style of the Gayer-Anderson cat. The feline is depicted in a formal upright posture seated upon a rectangular plinth. The piece is finished in a matte black colour and features a textured tail wrapped around the right side, with incised markings detailing the face and inner ears. A prominent incised cartouche containing hieroglyphic-style characters is located on the left flank, with similar inscriptions running around the vertical faces of the base. The construction material is a cast synthetic resin.
