Paul Cardew Limited Edition The Universal Sink Co Novelty Ceramic Teapot

A Paul Cardew Design novelty ceramic teapot, modelled as a traditional kitchen sink scene. The piece features a white Belfast-style sink with silver-toned taps and a plunger, set against a floral-tiled backsplash. The removable lid is shaped as a wooden-effect draining board laden with miniature white and blue-rimmed dishes. The base of the teapot depicts drawers with black handles and floral-patterned curtains, beneath which sits a group of miniature household cleaning products including Fairy Liquid, Lenor, Flash, and Soda Crystals. The item is finished with an all-over intentional crackle glaze. The underside bears the printed mark of CARDEW DESIGN and MADE IN ENGLAND, a gold teapot logo with 97, and is hand-signed in brown P.
