A Mid-Century Modern Wood and Leather Topped Folding Games Table

A mid-20th-century vintage leather topped games table, dating from the Mid-Century Modern period circa 1950. The piece is constructed with a stained hardwood frame featuring a square top with mitered edges. The playing surface is inset with a textured tan leather panel. The table is supported by four square-tapered legs which utilise a metal-strut folding mechanism, allowing the legs to collapse flush against the underside for compact storage. The secondary construction includes a plywood base panel to the underside of the top. While the design is reminiscent of pieces by Jacques Adnet or the Leg-O-Matic company, no maker’s marks or labels are present. 73cm H x 76cm W x 76cm D.
