Description
A comprehensive part dinner and tea service manufactured by Alfred Meakin, England. The service is crafted from fine white earthenware, often referred to as semi-porcelain, in the Realm shape which features subtly scalloped edges. The decoration consists of the Realm Rose pattern, featuring a central transfer-printed motif of a deep pink rose with grey and green foliage. Each piece is finished with silver-toned platinum gilding to the rims. The service includes various components such as dinner plates, side plates, cereal or soup bowls, teacups, saucers, a large water pitcher, and a smaller cream jug. The base of the pieces carries the printed Alfred Meakin crown mark, England, and the pattern name Realm Rose. Dinner plate diameter 25cm, Side plate diameter 17cm, Pitcher height 15cm.
