A cast iron pinecone form tea light lantern

A cast iron lantern of ovoid form, designed in the style of a pinecone or artichoke. The body features a pierced lattice-work pattern to allow for light emission. The top is integrated with a fixed eyelet holding a loose hanging ring. The base is fitted with a removable circular plate, secured by a twist-lock cross-bar mechanism. The underside assembly is held by two Phillips head screws. The item is finished in a dark brown patinated coating. This design is similar to examples produced by Esschert Design and Sungmor.
