A mid-20th-century cigarette holder produced by United Kingdom Time Ltd under the Kelton brand. The instrument is constructed with a cream-coloured resin barrel and brass-toned metal fittings. The design features a flat metal mouthpiece and a knurled adjustment ring at the fore-end which operates the internal mechanism. The tip consists of a tapered conical brass-toned component with a distinctive lateral aperture. The item is housed in its original red octagonal presentation box with a light blue watered-silk effect lining. The interior lid bears the Kelton name in cursive script above the model number 21. A paper insert is printed with the text ASSEMBLED IN GREAT BRITAIN OF COMPONENTS MADE IN THE U.K. & U.S.A. and the lining features two square ink stamps reading UK over TIME, attributing the assembly to the Dundee, Scotland facility of the U.S. Time Corporation.
