A mid-twentieth-century masonic handbook titled The Scottish Workings of Craft Masonry, privately printed for A. Lewis (Masonic Publishers) Ltd., London. The volume contains the complete ceremonies for opening and closing in the three degrees, questions before passing and raising, and the ceremonies of initiation, passing, and raising. It includes the charges and explanations of the three tracing boards. The work is illustrated with black and white woodcuts, including a full-page depiction of the Tracing Board for the First Degree. Bound in the publisher’s original dark green cloth with rounded corners, the front board features a blind-stamped Masonic square and compasses emblem. The text block is clean and free from inscriptions or ownership marks. Octavo.
