Decorative Wooden Domed Trunk with Floral Rose Motif

A small decorative wooden chest of trunk-style construction featuring a domed lid and dark-stained wooden framing. The borders are decorated with a carved meander pattern. The top and front faces contain inset textured panels with a raised gold-tone floral motif depicting roses and vines against a dark ground. The piece is fitted with a front-mounted metal swing-arm latch and a top-mounted ornate metal bail handle. The handle is secured to the lid with modern Phillips-head screws. The interior is unlined and shows plain dark wood construction. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
