Wien Portable LW/MW Transistor Radio

A portable transistor radio manufactured in Malaysia under the Wien brand. The device features a two-tone moulded plastic cabinet in cream and black. The front panel incorporates a black circular-perforation speaker grille and a tuning window currently displaying red numerical frequency indicators. The reverse of the casing features an embossed band selector for Long Wave (LW) and Medium Wave (MW) operated by a sliding switch. A thumbwheel control is located on the side for power and volume functions. A black plastic wrist strap is attached to the top corner. Visible markings include a white vertical sticker on the front reading MADE IN MALAYSIA and a black rectangular badge with the Wien brand name in stylized script. The word MALAYSIA is also embossed into the plastic on the rear casing near the bottom edge.
