A Pair of Vintage Pressed Glass Footed Dessert Dishes

A pair of clear pressed glass footed vessels, designed as large sundae glasses or dessert dishes. The forms feature a wide, wavy scalloped rim above a neck decorated with horizontal stepped ribbing. The main body is ornamented with a geometric pattern consisting of vertical panels framing a central band of diamond-point hatching. The lower portion of the bowl tapers with vertical faceting to a short, multi-faceted stem, terminating in a broad, scalloped circular foot. The items are manufactured from pressed glass rather than hand-cut crystal, evidenced by the softened edges of the decorative moulding. No maker marks, acid-etched signatures, or labels are present on either piece.
