This commemorative hardcover volume is titled Coronation Souvenir Book 1937, attributed to Gordon Beckles. The work was produced to celebrate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The book is bound in gold-toned textured cloth-covered boards, featuring a central blue-printed illustration of the Imperial State Crown and sceptre resting on a cushion. Above this motif is a blind-stamped royal coat of arms. The front cover is further embellished with parallel blind-stamped vertical lines near the hinge and fore-edge. The title and date are printed in blue block capitals. The volume is a large quarto format.
