A Caverswall Porcelain Miniature Prince Philip Coronet

A miniature porcelain coronet produced by Caverswall China Company to commemorate the 60th birthday of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1981. The piece features a burgundy-coloured cap with gilded decorative elements including crosses and fleurs-de-lis, set upon a white base decorated with a black ermine-spot pattern. The underside of the base features printed text: THE PRINCE PHILIP CORONET, This Miniature Coronet is specially produced to honour the 60th Birthday of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, K.G. It also bears the circular Caverswall England factory mark and hand-painted decorator initials A.S. in gold.
