A Pair of Melba Ware Style Glazed Ceramic Shire Horse Figurines

A pair of glazed ceramic draft horse figurines, depicted in a walking pose and modelled as Shire or Clydesdale horses. The figures feature a dark brown high-gloss glaze with white blazes to the faces and white feathering to the legs. Each horse is dressed in a detailed, non-removable harness with black, red, and yellow painted highlights and small metal chain components. One horse is detailed with a gold-tone star on its blinkers. These figures are in the style of mid-20th-century British ceramics, such as those produced by Melba Ware. No maker marks or factory stamps are visible on the bases.
