A Pair of Ceramic Shire Horses in Decorative Show Harness

A pair of glazed ceramic figurines depicting heavy horses, possibly Shire or Clydesdale breeds, in the manner of Melba Ware. Each horse is finished in a high-gloss bay glaze with four white socks and feathering to the legs. The figures are fitted with detailed, non-removable show harnesses consisting of black and red strapping embellished with brass-toned metal studs and linked gilt-metal chains. The lot comprises one larger model and one smaller model of similar design. No factory marks, model numbers, or artist signatures are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
