A silver-plated tea service presented on an oval gallery tray. The collection comprises a cream jug, a twin-handled sugar bowl, a larger open slop bowl, and a small chalice-form vessel. The tray features a pierced gallery with a gadrooned rim and an engraved central field with foliate and scroll motifs. The hollowware pieces are of simple, rounded form. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on the surfaces. The construction appears to be silver-plate over a yellowish base metal.
