A mid-20th-century beaded velvet evening bag

A mid-20th-century style evening bag featuring a taupe-coloured velvet body. The front is decorated with hand-applied floral and foliate motifs executed in black and clear glass seed and bugle beads. The design includes a prominent black five-petalled flower with a central faux-pearl bead. The bag is mounted on a silver-tone metal frame with a kiss-lock clasp and is equipped with a fine silver-tone snake-link chain handle. The outer edges and top frame line are finished with a continuous border of black beads. No internal labels or maker’s marks are visible.
