International Transtar Articulated Flatbed Trailer with Crushed Car Load

Attributed to Corgi and identified as part of the Heavy Haulers series (model US51404), this is a die-cast and plastic model of an International Transtar cab-over tractor unit with a three-axle flatbed trailer. The tractor is finished in a turquoise livery with silver-tone accents and features printed commercial branding for Lindquist, Langley, BC on the cab doors. The trailer carries a specialised load consisting of two bundles of simulated crushed scrap cars in various colours including blue, green, and red, secured with black bands. The construction comprises a die-cast metal cab and trailer frame with plastic components for the wheels, mudguards, and cab details. The articulated unit features free-rolling wheels and a detachable trailer via a fifth-wheel coupling. Additional details include roof-mounted air horns, an amber warning light, and chrome-effect fuel tanks and wheels.
