Description
A pair of octavo volumes comprising works of travel and biography. The first volume, A Woman’s Walks by Lady Colin Campbell, was published by Eveleigh Nash, London, in 1903. It is bound in the publisher’s original blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The second, taller volume is The Life of Mahomet by Sir William Muir, published by Smith, Elder & Co. in 1877. This work is bound in textured brown publisher’s cloth with the spine featuring gilt lettering and double gilt rules at the head and foot. Both books are examples of late 19th and early 20th-century cloth-bound editions.
