A Pair of Tibetan Cast Copper-Alloy Tingsha Hand Cymbals

A pair of Himalayan ritual hand cymbals, known as Tingsha, used in Tibetan Buddhist prayer and meditation. Each cymbal is constructed from sand-cast copper-alloy and features a central raised boss decorated with a stylised floral lotus motif. The outer rim of each piece is cast with six characters in high relief representing the Buddhist mantra Om Mani Padme Hum. The two cymbals are joined by a length of dark leather cord.
