Description
A silver-plated cream jug produced by the firm Potter of Sheffield. The vessel features a squat, bulbous form with a flared, everted rim and an integrated pouring spout. The body is decorated with a beaded band at the shoulder and vertical gadrooning to the lower section. It is fitted with an ornate, cast C-scroll handle featuring acanthus leaf decoration and scroll terminals. The base is stamped with the manufacturer marks POTTER and SHEFFIELD, alongside an A1 mark denoting high-quality electroplating.
