A Parperis Ceramic Rhodes hand-painted Iznik-style wall plate

A hand-painted glazed earthenware decorative wall plate by Parperis Ceramic, Rhodes. The circular plate is decorated in the Iznik style with a polychrome floral design. The central composition features a six-pointed star-shaped medallion containing stylised floral motifs, bordered by six panels depicting traditional Ottoman-inspired tulips and carnations in cobalt blue, iron red, yellow, and turquoise green, all with black outlines. The design is finished with a foliate border and a gilt-edged rim. The reverse of the plate features a black printed backstamp consisting of a rectangular frame containing a seated deer and Greek characters, above the text HANDMADE, PARPERIS, CERAMIC, RHODES GREECE. A wire hanger is attached to the reverse.
