A circular fine earthenware (Queen’s Ware) commemorative plate produced by Wedgwood at the Barlaston factory. The front displays multi-coloured transfer-printed heraldic decoration featuring the coat of arms of the College of Arms to the centre, surrounded by fifteen specific heraldic badges representing the Earl Marshal, Kings, Heralds, and Pursuivants of Arms. The rim is decorated with a red and blue scalloped border and an outer gilt-coloured chain-link pattern. The reverse features printed text identifying each badge, along with the commemorative inscription and the Wedgwood manufacturer’s mark.
