A Pair of Windsor China Gilded Bone China Tea Trios

A pair of mid-20th-century English bone china trios manufactured by Windsor China at the Windsor Pottery in Longton, Staffordshire. This brand was used by the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS). Each trio comprises a teacup, a saucer, and a square side plate. The pieces are of white ground, decorated with a gilded floral and foliate border pattern featuring rose sprigs. The saucers and side plates feature scalloped rims with gilded edging. The base of the teacup bears a blue transfer-printed mark for Windsor China, Made in England, alongside hand-painted pattern numbers 139 / 20 in black. The side plates are of a square form with rounded, scalloped corners.
