Early 20th Century Brass Surveying Instrument in Mahogany Case

Brass surveying or mathematical instrument, possibly a circumferentor or azimuth circle, featuring a circular dial engraved 1-12. Housed in a fitted mahogany case measuring 15cm x 15cm with a brass plaque inscribed: “Presented to the Museum / by / Miss Maria Fitzgerald / 1920”.
