A countertop balance scale likely dating to the early 20th century. This instrument features a heavy-duty cast iron base and balance beam finished in dark green enamel. The scale is equipped with two brass pans: a flat circular weight plate and a large, deep pouring scoop. The central pointer and indicator housing are also constructed of brass.
