Royal Creamware, Queen Mother 100th Birthday, Commemorative Plate

A limited edition commemorative cabinet plate produced by Royal Creamware in refined creamware ceramic. The centre features a circular transfer-printed colour portrait of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother wearing a blue hat and pearls, surrounded by a floral wreath of pink roses and purple thistles. The wide, shaped rim is decorated with elaborate hand-pierced reticulated openwork in geometric and floral patterns, interspersed with moulded scrolling and foliate relief. The outer scalloped edge is finished with a fine gilt line. The underside features a comprehensive black transfer-printed factory mark including the Royal Creamware logo and the text: ROYAL CREAMWARE Fine China Est. 1760 Made in England. The inscription reads: TO COMMEMORATE 100th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother 4th August 2000. It is designated as a LIMITED EDITION, hand-numbered 1061, and states it was Produced in hand-pierced Creamware in an edition strictly limited to a maximum of 7 firing days.
