A complete Star Wars Episode I themed chess set manufactured by The Really Useful Games Company Ltd, reference number 95138. The set comprises thirty-two detailed moulded plastic character figures, each mounted on a themed pedestal base etched with universal chess symbols for ease of play. The light side features characters such as Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Jar Jar Binks, and R2-D2. The dark side includes Darth Maul, Darth Sidious, Nute Gunray, Rune Haako, Destroyer Droids, and Battle Droids. The collection is housed in its original illustrated retail box and includes a foldable cardboard playing board with a distinctive red and black starburst design and a moulded black plastic interior storage tray. The packaging bears the Lucasfilm Ltd. copyright and is marked Made in China. This set was produced to coincide with the theatrical release of The Phantom Menace.
