Spode Style Blue and White Porcelain Crouching Cat Figurine

A large porcelain figurine of a crouching cat, decorated in a traditional blue and white transferware style. The piece features the classic Blue Italian pattern, depicting pastoral landscapes with ruins and buildings, framed by a dense floral and foliate border. The cat’s facial features, including the eyes, nose, and whiskers, are moulded in relief. The underside of the piece bears an impressed model number 800 and a faint, partially illegible green backstamp, consistent with English manufacturers such as Spode. Minor manufacturing-related transfer overlaps are visible, which is characteristic of the production process. Height approx. 18cm.
