Royal Doulton, Women's Royal Naval Service HN4498

A Royal Doulton porcelain figurine from the Royal Doulton Classics collection, titled Women’s Royal Naval Service. Modelled by Valerie Annand, this piece depicts a Wren in a traditional navy blue uniform, complete with a tricorne hat and a satchel slung over her shoulder. The figure is portrayed in an active pose on a base designed to resemble a cobblestone street with a nautical bollard. It is hand-made and hand-decorated with a high-gloss finish. The base carries the official Royal Doulton Classics backstamp with the lion and crown logo, marked MADE IN ENGLAND 2003. This is a limited edition piece, numbered 1337 of 2,500. Hand-painted decorator marks, including the initials CF and another monogram, are present on the underside. Height approx. 22.5cm.
