Description
This lot features a pair of decorative wooden clapsticks, hand-carved in a projectile form. The upper portion of each piece is adorned with hand-painted dot art in an Aboriginal Australian style, featuring concentric circular motifs and serpentine patterns in white, red, and yellow pigments against a mottled green background colour. One stick is prominently signed S. Clark in white paint. The lower half of each object is finished in a smooth, unpainted natural wood grain, highlighting the timber’s character. These pieces serve as contemporary decorative examples of traditional Indigenous Australian musical instruments, classified under Ethnic Artifacts. Length: 150mm each.
